I found this book quite by accident, but pleased I did I am writing a thesis and whilst I know what I want to study and say, putting it into the language and layout that the university expects is a complicated and somewhat obtuse affair Sadly, if your thesis doesn t look right or isn t structured as expected, often it contaminates the markers view on it when they come to read the actual content first impression and other biases This book is the solution to this problem It tells me what I need to consider, why, what other options I have, and then examples to put it into context Essentially the what, when, why and how of thesis writing It s a huge book but you don t need to read it from cover to cover to get utility from it Just dip in where you need some guidance such as research strategy or questionnaire design, read a few pages left and right of your area of focus and you are ready to go Thank you Mark, Philip and Adrian, your work has made this academic undertaking a little bearable.
